1968 Slant-6 Charger

This 68 Charger has been sitting in my barn for about 15 years.  I purchased it with the intent of saving it simply because it is an original Slant 6 powered Charger.  Numbers vary, but by most accounts, approximately 97,000 Chargers were produced in 1968, but only 409 of them had the Slant 6 engine.  That makes it more rare than a Hemi powered Charger!  Of course, very few people wanted a six cylinder muscle car then, and few do today.  However, since so many of the Slant 6 Chargers were converted to V8 cars over the years, very very few remain - some say less than 10!  This car is going to be restored to it's original condition.  It doesn't look like much, but it's really in good shape mechanically.  The car was wrecked in 1972 (hit from behind, then shoved into a guardrail), and has been off the road since then.  Unfortunately it sat outside for years, leading to all the rust in the floors and trunk.  However, the car is complete.  Check out our YouTube channel for a video walkaround of the car, and another one of it starting up again - YES, it still runs great!!!

Starting off by stripping it down to the bare shell...

Then mount on the rotiserrie for a day of powerwashing to get all the road grime off of it...

New floorpans, trunkpan, taillight panel and rear valance installed...
