This 1966 Mustang has been in the family for a long time, but has spent the last few years partially dismantled and stuck in a mini-storage facility.  Scotlea got to drag it out, and all it's parts, and put it back on track to live again!!  The plan is to put this one back together as original as possible, with a few modern updates for safety and convenience, and then DRIVE IT!!!!

Here's how we got it....

First order of business was fixing the rust - and this car had some.  Floors, trunk and rear quarters all had to be fixed.  Floors and roof were then covered in Dynamat in anticipation of keeping the new AC inside the car on hot days.  Both front and rear suspension were completely rebuilt, with the front end getting a disc-brake and power-steering upgrade as well.  Painted in factory Wimbledon White, this mustang looks better than when it rolled off the factory floor.  Interior is again all factory - including the ultra rare bench front seat!  A couple of upgrades included the AC, new gauges, and of course some modern tunes with a 4-speaker stereo system.  Engine is the factory 200ci straight-six - YEP, no V8 here!!  Rewired with electronic ignition, one-wire alternator, an aluminum radiator, and tuned carburetor.  She doesn't make a lot of power or go fast, but looks good cruising around town.
