This 71 Chevelle was discovered poking out from under about 4 feet of boxes and junk in someone's garage. Once dug out, it was found to be a complete survivor car with the only changes being the addition of a 80's era stereo (with cassette deck). A little gas in the carb and it fired right up after sitting for nearly 25 years because of a bad ignition switch!! The only rust in the entire car are small areas on each of the rear wheel wells - which will be fixed - the rest of the car is totally solid.
A week of going through every system on the car revealed it to be unmolested and with a little work, everything was humming as new. The factory 350/350 combo runs and drives good, and the AC even blows cold again. It has quite a few small dents and dings, but no major damage. A new set of tires wrapped around Rallye wheels gives it a better look than the factory hubcaps. The original bucket-seat console interior received some cheap seat covers for now & new carpet to make it livable. The original vinyl top was long gone, so to preserve without replacing with smoothed the top and painted it satin black.
